A: A Virtual Assistant (VA) is an independent contractor providing administrative services for business owners. We can help you run things more smoothly utilizing modern office technology from our location. Independent professionals and small businesse owners may need an assistant, but don't need a full or even part time secretary, or they may not have the space for one. A VA works only when you have work available. They do this from their own office, sparing you the need to buy expensive office equipment, extra phone lines and all that goes with a normal office.
Q: What can a Virtual Assistant do for me? A: A Virtual Assistant can do many things. Keep track of your calendar, schedule appointments, take dictation and write correspondence, return phone calls. This is just a small amount of what we can do. If you are doing something that takes time and energy away from growing your business, chances are we can do it for you. You are then free to concentrate on building your business.
Sometimes we also take on the role of a "Personal Assistant" (PA), helping you take care of more personal things. This can include ordering flowers for your significant other, making dinner reservations, coordinating schedules, sending holiday cards and so on.
Q: What kind of people have a Virtual Assistant, or a Personal Assistant? A: There are many different kinds of people that we can help. An independent professional just starting out that may need business cards designed, or mailings to be sent. A small business owner that needs letters drawn up, data entry or work done on spreadsheets. A consultant that travels so much on business that they can't keep their calendar up to date, or needs flights, car rental and hotel reservations taken care of. There are any number of scenarios of work that can be done. What do you need help with?
Q: How much does a Virtual Assistant cost? A: Our rates are listed on our RATES webpage. Click HERE to find out. Please keep in mind that you only pay for the amount of time your VA works for you, not like in a normal office in which you would pay someone 8 hours when they were only working 4. Also, you keep overhead costs down because you are not paying for any benefits such as insurance or sick/holiday pay, and you do not withhold any taxes. We are independent contractors and take care of our own taxes and benefits.
Q: What is the first step in getting started with a Virtual Assistant? A: Feel free to CONTACT US with any questions you may have. We are more than happy to discuss options on working together.
